The Full Body Reset: How to Build One Visit That Actually Works

Most people book one treatment at a time. A massage this month, a cold plunge when they remember it exists. That works, but it leaves most of the benefit on the table, because these treatments compound when they are sequenced properly and mostly do not when they are not.

We see the full circuit booked maybe once for every fifteen single massages. The people who do it tend to become the people who come back every few weeks.

Here is how to build one.

What is a full body reset?

It is not a package on our menu. It is a sequence: warmth to prepare the tissue, hands-on work to release it, then water or compression to move what the massage loosened.

Each step makes the next one work better. Heat before deep pressure means the pressure reaches further with less discomfort. Cold after massage extends the recovery window rather than letting it fade on the walk home.

Done in the wrong order, you get three separate treatments that happen to be on the same afternoon.

What order should you book treatments in?

Heat, then hands, then water. That is the short version.

Start with heat

Twenty minutes in the hot mineral bath raises your tissue temperature before anyone touches you. Warm muscle takes pressure better, which matters most if you are booking deep tissue, our most requested treatment by a wide margin.

If you skip this step, your therapist spends the first fifteen minutes of your massage doing the same job with their hands.

Then the massage

Ninety minutes is the number we recommend for a reset. Sixty covers one or two areas properly. Ninety covers the full body with real depth and still leaves room for your therapist to spend extra time wherever they find the worst of it.

Which modality depends on what brought you in:

  • Deep-seated knots and chronic tightness: deep tissue
  • Training load and sport-specific soreness: sports massage
  • Stress rather than tension: Swedish
  • Not sure: the Element Massage, which moves between styles as your therapist finds what is needed

Finish with water or compression

This is where most of the compounding happens.

Contrast therapy is the strongest finisher. Thirty minutes cycling three times between the hot mineral bath and the cold plunge, which pushes circulation harder than either does alone.

If your legs are the problem rather than your back, compression boots do more. Thirty minutes, passive, and particularly good after flights or long days standing.

If you need to be functional afterward, a ten minute cold plunge on its own leaves you sharper than you arrived.

How long does a full reset take?

Allow two and a half hours from arrival to leaving.

  • 20 minutes mineral bath
  • 90 minutes massage
  • 30 minutes contrast therapy
  • Plus changing, resting between stages, and not rushing

You can compress it to ninety minutes total by dropping the opening soak and shortening the massage to sixty, but the version that works properly takes an afternoon.

What does it cost?

Using our standard pricing:

  • Hot mineral bath, 20 minutes: 80,000 COP
  • Signature massage, 90 minutes: 240,000 COP
  • Contrast therapy, 30 minutes: 110,000 COP

That comes to 430,000 COP for the full sequence. Dropping the opening soak brings it to 350,000 COP, and the massage still gets the benefit of the contrast circuit at the end.

Full pricing is on the menu.

What do people get wrong?

Four things, and we see all of them regularly.

Booking reactively

The most common one. People book when acute pain hits and expect a single session to resolve something that took months to build.

It will help. It will not fix it. Chronic tightness responds to a session every one to two weeks until it clears, then monthly maintenance. One massage after six months of desk work is damage control, not treatment.

Choosing the wrong modality

Booking a light Swedish massage for severe deep-seated knotting, or booking deep tissue when what you actually wanted was to relax.

Both are disappointing for the same reason: the treatment did exactly what it is designed to do, and that was not what you needed. If you are unsure, say what is bothering you rather than naming a modality, and let the therapist choose.

Scheduling it badly

Booking a deep tissue massage right before an intense workday or a hard training session. Deep work leaves muscles temporarily looser and slightly fatigued, and next-day soreness is normal.

Book it when you can take the rest of the day easy. Evening is better than morning if you have a full schedule.

Not mentioning contraindications

Recent injuries, sunburn, blood thinners, anything affecting pain perception. People forget or assume it does not matter.

It matters. A therapist who knows adjusts the treatment. A therapist who does not know works normally and you have a bad session or worse.

How do you book a multi-treatment visit?

Tell us when you book, not when you arrive. The water has to be prepared and the room sequenced, and a circuit that was not planned means waiting between stages while we set up.

Message us on WhatsApp at +57 322 5733013 with the treatments, the durations, and roughly when you want to come. We will confirm the timing.

We are at Cra. 39 #8-48 in El Poblado, five minutes walk from Parque Lleras, open daily 9am to 9pm with the last appointment at 8pm. Full directions are on our location page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best order for massage and cold plunge?

Massage first, cold plunge after. The massage releases tension in the tissue and the cold extends the recovery effect while leaving you more alert when you leave. Plunging before a massage also works if you arrive with a lot of muscle tension, since it makes the massage feel warmer by contrast.

How long should a full body reset take?

Allow two and a half hours for the full sequence: 20 minutes in the hot mineral bath, a 90 minute massage, and 30 minutes of contrast therapy, plus time to change and rest between stages.

How much does a full circuit cost in Medellín?

At Element Wellness Center, the full sequence of mineral bath, 90 minute signature massage and contrast therapy comes to 430,000 COP. Dropping the opening soak brings it to 350,000 COP.

Should you get a massage before or after a workout?

After, and ideally not immediately before an intense session. Deep work leaves muscles temporarily looser and slightly fatigued. If you train regularly, a session every one to two weeks after training keeps ahead of accumulated tightness.

How often should you get a massage for chronic tension?

Every one to two weeks until the problem area resolves, then once a month for maintenance. A single session after months of accumulated tension will help but will not resolve it.

Do you need to book treatments in advance to combine them?

Yes. Tell us at booking which treatments you want and in what order, so we can prepare the water and sequence the room. Combining treatments without notice usually means waiting between stages.
