COLD PLUNGE
Cold Plunge Therapy in El Poblado, Medellín
Our cold plunge is a 10-minute immersion in cold water. It is the fastest treatment on our menu and one of the most requested.
Most people book it after a massage or a training session. You can also come in for the plunge on its own, which takes about twenty minutes from arrival to leaving.
Cold Plunge
50,000 COP for 10 minutes
Available every day, 9am to 9pm
What are the benefits of cold plunging?
Cold immersion raises your heart rate and constricts blood vessels, then opens them again as you warm up. People use it to feel more alert, to reduce soreness after training, and to recover faster between hard sessions. The effect most guests notice first is mental. You come out sharper than you went in, and that tends to last a few hours.
How cold is the water?
Our plunge runs between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius, which is around 50 to 54 Fahrenheit. That is cold enough to be effective without being difficult to stay in for the full ten minutes.
How long should you stay in a cold plunge?
Ten minutes is our standard session and it is enough for most people. If it is your first time, get in slowly and focus on breathing steadily rather than holding your breath. You can step out early and get back in.
Should you cold plunge before or after a massage?
Either works, and it depends on what you want from the session. Plunging after a massage extends the recovery effect and leaves you feeling more awake when you go. Plunging before makes the massage feel warmer by contrast and can help if you are coming in with a lot of muscle tension. If you want both in one visit, tell us when you book so we can prepare the room and the plunge in the right order.
Can you add a cold plunge to another treatment?
Yes. The plunge is often booked alongside a massage, compression boots, or the hot mineral bath. If you want to move between hot and cold, the contrast therapy session is built for that and runs 30 minutes.
Who should avoid cold plunge therapy?
Cold immersion is not right for everyone. If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, or are pregnant, talk to your doctor before booking. Let us know about any medical conditions when you arrive so our staff can advise you.
