SWEDISH MASSAGE
Swedish Massage in El Poblado, Medellín
Swedish massage uses long, flowing strokes at light to medium pressure across the whole body. It is the treatment to book when you want to relax rather than have specific problem areas worked on.
This is where we usually start first-time guests. Sessions run 60, 90, or 120 minutes in a private room with a licensed therapist.
Swedish Massage
60 minutes: 180,000 COP
90 minutes: 240,000 COP
120 minutes: 290,000 COP
What is Swedish massage?
Swedish massage is the style most people picture when they think of a massage. Your therapist works the full body with long strokes and steady, moderate pressure rather than staying on one area. The goal is circulation and relaxation across the whole body, not depth in any one place.
Is Swedish massage good for first-timers?
Yes, and it is what we recommend. The pressure is comfortable, the technique is predictable, and you leave knowing what you liked and what you would want more of next time. If you find you wanted more pressure, book deep tissue or the Element Massage on your next visit.
What is the difference between Swedish and deep tissue massage?
Pressure and intent. Swedish stays light to medium and covers the full body for relaxation. Deep tissue uses firm, sustained pressure on specific areas to work through tension. Swedish is for stress. Deep tissue is for knots.
How long should a Swedish massage be?
Sixty minutes covers the full body at a comfortable pace. Ninety gives your therapist time to work each area properly without rushing, which is what most guests prefer.
How often should you get a Swedish massage?
Monthly works well for general stress and maintenance. There is no recovery cost to a Swedish massage, so more frequent visits are a matter of preference rather than necessity.
What can you add to a Swedish massage?
Aromatherapy at 20,000 COP is the most common addition and suits the relaxation focus. Hot stones at 50,000 COP deepen the warmth and work well for full body tension. The hot mineral bath before your session is worth considering if you want to arrive already relaxed.
Who should avoid Swedish massage?
Swedish massage is gentle and suits most people. If you are pregnant, recovering from surgery, or have a skin condition or open wound, let us know when you book so we can adjust or advise you.
