MINERAL BATH
Hot Mineral Bath in El Poblado, Medellín
Our mineral bath is a 20-minute soak in heated water treated with minerals. It is the quietest treatment we offer and the one people book when they want rest rather than stimulation.
It works well on its own and it is the first step of our contrast therapy circuit.
Hot Water with Minerals
80,000 COP for 20 minutes
Available every day, 9am to 9pm
What does a mineral bath do?
Warm water relaxes muscle tissue and slows your nervous system down. The minerals in the water soften it and make the soak easier on your skin than a plain hot bath. Most people come out calmer and sleep better that night.
How hot is the water?
Our mineral bath runs at a comfortable soaking temperature, warm enough to relax muscle tissue across twenty minutes without being uncomfortable. If you want it adjusted, tell our staff before you get in.
How long should you soak?
Twenty minutes is our standard session and it is long enough for the heat to reach muscle tissue. You can step out and get back in during the session if you need a break from the warmth.
Should you do a mineral bath before or after a massage?
Before, in most cases. Soaking first warms the muscles and makes deeper massage work more comfortable, which is useful if you are booking deep tissue or sports massage. Booking it after works too if you want to end the visit relaxed rather than worked on.
What is the difference between the mineral bath and contrast therapy?
The mineral bath is heat only. Contrast therapy alternates between this bath and our cold plunge across 30 minutes. If you want rest, book the bath. If you want recovery, book contrast.
Who should avoid hot mineral baths?
Extended heat immersion is not right for everyone. If you have a heart condition, low blood pressure, or are pregnant, talk to your doctor before booking. Let us know about any medical conditions when you arrive so our staff can advise you.
