CONTRAST THERAPY

Hot and Cold Contrast Therapy in El Poblado, Medellín

Contrast therapy moves you between our hot mineral bath and our cold plunge across a 30-minute session. The alternation is the point. Heat opens your blood vessels, cold closes them, and cycling between the two pushes circulation harder than either does alone.

This is the session most people come back for once they have tried the plunge on its own.

Hot & Cold Water Therapy

110,000 COP for 30 minutes

Available every day, 9am to 9pm

What is contrast water therapy?

Contrast therapy is a structured circuit between hot and cold water. You spend a few minutes in the heat, then a short period in the cold, and repeat the cycle. Our staff guides the timing so you are not watching a clock.

What does contrast therapy do for recovery?

Alternating hot and cold moves blood through your muscles more actively than resting does. People use it after training, after long travel, or when they are carrying general fatigue rather than one specific problem area. Compared to a single cold plunge, contrast tends to leave you more relaxed than wired.

How does a 30-minute session work?

You start in the hot mineral bath to raise your body temperature, then move to the cold plunge, then back. Most sessions run three cycles. We adjust the timing based on how you are handling the cold.

Is contrast therapy better than a cold plunge alone?

They do different things. A cold plunge is short, sharp, and leaves you alert. Contrast therapy takes longer and works more on circulation and full body recovery. If you have ten minutes and want to feel awake, book the plunge. If you have half an hour and you are recovering from something, book contrast.

Can you combine contrast therapy with a massage?

Yes, and it is a common pairing. Contrast after a massage extends the recovery effect. Contrast before a massage warms the muscles and makes deeper work more comfortable. Tell us when you book so we can sequence the room and the water.

Who should avoid contrast therapy?

Contrast therapy is not right for everyone. If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, or are pregnant, talk to your doctor before booking. Let us know about any medical conditions when you arrive so our staff can advise you.
